An automated external defibrillator or AED is a machine that is used to administer an electric shock to the heart in order to reestablish normal heart rhythm. On this page we go though the different kits that our AED trainees will see and use.
This is not intended to be a training section - if you are interested in AED either in learning to use one or in installing one in a public place we can be of assistance.
Do not switch on a live AED unecessarily - leave the batteries intact for when they are needed for real
Let the AED drive the pace of your rescue - try not work ahead of it. The voice prompts will give you clear and concise instructions.
In all cases the live defibs contain personal protctive gear ( facemask, gloves) and suupport kit (shears, towel, razor).
