    RLSS AED Courses

An automated external defibrillator or AED is a machine that is used to administer an electric shock to the heart in order to reestablish normal heart rhythm.

AED courses have been part of our Dublin based training programme for a number of years. We also assist other groups and clubs implementing AED programmes.

The aim is to ensure that every suitably experienced lifesaver and lifeguard is qualified in the use of and encouraged to implement this programme wherever possible.

If you are interested in attending courses either as a candidate or to gain the training qualification please either contact us for information or see the course information on our home page. If you are either in a commercial or voluntary capacity such as sports clubs, lifesaving clubs or the like and are interested in AED implementation our voluntary training team will only be too happy to assist in any way we can - Don’t hesitate to ask. Its what we are here for. email us on aed@sthoeelifeguardsdublin.com

    AED Project
In late December 2006 we launched our new AED development programme. By April 2007 we had 3 training kits, 7 trainer assessors, and a live AED. We will be working with a large number of groups and Apache Pizza to promote public access defribillation throughout Ireland. See pictures of the first Apache presentation here

We want to implement as many AED as we can. Its that simple - if you are interested in placing an aed, learing more or getting involved - just contact us.
