Beach Directions

Claremont, Howth

Balscadden Bay, Howth
The first beach we ever swam on! Loved for no good reason. DART to howth, exit station left and walk to the far pier. When you run out of road walk up the hill past the King Sitric restaurant & the entrance is past the apartments on your left. If driving watch the one way system and respect the locals! Watch out for seals ( no summer Lifeguard presence)

Hole in the Wall (Burrow) Beach, Sutton

Easiest way to get there is by DART to Sutton station. exit left and take the lane beside the tracks as far as the level crossing, cross the tracks and go right, - entrance a long ten minute walk down the road. BY CAR through Sutton cross towards Howth - it is the first left after Superquinn over the railway bridge. You will normally find us near the Lifeguard hut.

Overview Howth Beaches

Southside

40ft / Sandycove
A favoured beach. the easiest way to get there is by DART to Sandycove and Glasthule Station . Leave the station, cross the road and go right, take the next left down to the sea. 40ft is the other side of the headland you see accross the bay to your right. its about a 20 minute walk. ( no summer Lifeguard presence)

Driving - its the first headland after Dún Laoghaire Harbour, parking is a nightmare, be warned

Killiney
An under used beach that we seem to use less and less mainly because of its distance for the team members who carry kit. The only reasonable way is by DART to Killiney. exit the station and use the tunnel under the railway. You're there - difficult huh?. Driving - start early take the coast road at Dalkey as far as Killiney station (the Hotel) There is loads of parking.
